Markets are the soul of Ariège in summer. Almost every morning a village hosts its farmers' market. And as the sun goes down, the night markets take over with a festive, foodie atmosphere. Here is the full calendar so you don't miss a thing.
Mirepoix market: the most famous in Ariège
Every Monday morning beneath the medieval arcades of the main square, Mirepoix market is a true institution. Ranked among the most beautiful markets in France, it brings together around a hundred local producers and artisans. Pyrenean cheeses, artisan charcuterie, mountain honey, organic vegetables, sourdough bread… It is unmissable — and just 5 minutes from Domaine de la Trille.
Regular markets: the weekly schedule
- Monday: Mirepoix (the largest, year-round, 8 am – 1 pm)

Night markets: the summer highlight
From mid-June to mid-September, night markets set up in different villages almost every evening. The concept: local producers offer their specialities to take away or to enjoy on the spot, accompanied by live music in a convivial atmosphere. You sit at a table, order a cheese platter here, grilled meats there, a dessert from somewhere else, and build your meal as you please.
