The caravans are unusual accommodations on wheels, fully renovated, set in the heart of nature. They offer an unconventional living experience while providing all modern comforts (equipped kitchen, bathroom, heating). There are 4, each identified by a colour: Blue, Red, Green and Yellow. The gîtes are country-house-style lodgings, more spacious, ideal for families or longer stays. Two gîtes are available: Les Iris and Les Roses.

Each caravan comfortably accommodates 2 adults (plus a young child on request). The gîtes are designed for 4 to 6 people depending on the model. Les Iris and Les Roses have several bedrooms and are perfectly suited for families. Please see the individual pages for each accommodation for exact capacity details.

Yes, all our accommodations are fully equipped for optimal comfort. You will find: an equipped kitchen (hob, fridge, microwave, full set of crockery), a bathroom with shower, separate WC, heating, bedding and bed linen. Bath towels are provided. Please enquire about specific equipment depending on the accommodation (TV, barbecue, private terrace).

Our caravans and gîtes do not have air conditioning. In summer, the area benefits from a cool microclimate thanks to the altitude and the natural surroundings of the estate. The accommodations are designed to stay cool: shutters, good insulation and natural ventilation. For the hottest periods, fans are available on request.

Yes, WiFi is available at Domaine de la Trille. The connection is sufficient for web browsing, social media and checking e-mails. However, in the spirit of disconnecting and enjoying a rejuvenating stay in the heart of nature, we encourage our guests to enjoy the surroundings rather than their screens. Please note that speeds may vary due to the rural location.

HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale / High Environmental Value) level 3 certification is the highest distinction awarded by the French Ministry of Agriculture. It guarantees that the farm meets strict criteria in terms of biodiversity, plant health strategy, fertiliser management and irrigation. Domaine de la Trille is HVE level 3 certified, reflecting our deep commitment to environmentally responsible farming and local ecosystems.

Domaine de la Trille is a Limousin cattle breeding farm. These are beef cattle renowned for the quality of their meat and their hardiness. Depending on the season, you can observe the cows grazing in the estate's meadows. Contact with other farm animals may also be possible during your stay.

Yes, absolutely. Domaine de la Trille is first and foremost a family-run agricultural operation in full activity. Florence and Benoît Peilhon raise Limousin cattle with respect for tradition and the environment. Tourist accommodation has developed as a complement to this main activity, offering you the unique opportunity to stay in the heart of an authentic HVE level 3 certified farm.

Depending on the season and the needs of the farm, it is sometimes possible to attend certain farm activities (observing the animals, discovering farming practices). However, this remains at the discretion of the team, whose priority is managing the farm. Please ask upon arrival. Guided tours can be arranged for groups by reservation.

Domaine de la Trille is located in Sainte-Foi, in the department of Ariège (09500), in the Occitanie region, in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees. Domaine de la Trille is approximately 1 hour's drive from Toulouse (about 80 km via the A66 then departmental roads). Toulouse has a TGV station and an international airport, making access easy from anywhere in France or Europe. From Toulouse-Matabiau station, car hire is recommended to reach the estate.

Domaine de la Trille is just 5 minutes by car from Mirepoix, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in France. This bastide village is renowned for its 13th-century wooden arcades, half-timbered houses and traditional market. Mirepoix offers all necessary amenities: shops, restaurants, pharmacy, banks.

Yes, Domaine de la Trille has free and secure parking on site. Each accommodation has a dedicated space nearby. Vehicle access is easy from the departmental roads of Ariège. The estate is difficult to reach without a car, so we strongly recommend coming with your own vehicle.

The Mirepoix area and the Ariège Pyrenees offer hundreds of kilometres of marked trails. In the immediate vicinity, you will find walks accessible on foot or by bike along rural paths. For experienced hikers, the Chioula massif and the Beille plateau are accessible in less than an hour. The Monts-d'Olmes and Ax-les-Thermes ski resorts offer slopes in winter. Yes, Lac de Montbel is accessible in just 20 minutes by car from Domaine de la Trille. It is one of the largest lakes in the region, very popular for swimming, kayaking, windsurfing and fishing. Equipped beaches, a water sports centre and picnic areas make it a perfect destination for families. Water quality is regularly monitored.

Domaine de la Trille is ideally located to explore the great Cathar sites of Ariège. Montségur Castle, symbol of Cathar resistance, is about 30 minutes away. Foix Castle, an imposing medieval fortress overlooking the prefecture town, is also 30 minutes away. Further afield, the castles of Puivert and Roquefixade are accessible in less than an hour.
