How to get here from the Netherlands?
From Amsterdam or Rotterdam, take the A2 south via Eindhoven and Belgium, then the A1/E19 towards Paris. Bypass Paris via the A86/A6 towards Lyon, then the A75 (toll-free) to Béziers and the A61 to Mirepoix. About 1,100 km and 10 hours.
We recommend an overnight stop to break the journey: the Reims or Lyon area makes an excellent halfway halt. Many campsites and hotels welcome travellers in transit.
Alternative: fly Amsterdam-Toulouse with KLM or Transavia (2h), then hire a car at the airport (1h drive). Or train Amsterdam-Toulouse via Paris (8h), then car hire.
