How to get here from Switzerland?
From Geneva or Lausanne, take the A40 towards Mâcon/Lyon, then the A7 towards Valence and the A9/A61 towards Carcassonne. Exit at Bram or Castelnaudary and take the D119 to Mirepoix. About 650 km and 6.5 to 7 hours.
The drive passes through superb scenery: Rhône valley, Languedoc vineyards, then the Pyrenean foothills. Possible stopover in Lyon or Montpellier. Budget about 55 EUR in tolls one way.
Alternative: fly Geneva-Toulouse with easyJet (1h20), then hire a car (1h drive). Or TGV Geneva-Toulouse via Lyon (6h), then car hire.
